Books and Studies
As Christian women, we are all looking to grow in our walk with the Lord. We can do this by delving into devotionals and bible studies (bonus points if these are done in community). Here are a few studies that will challenge any Christian women to grow in her faith.
Even If: A Study of Habakkuk, by the Daily Grace Company
For the woman who is struggling, this study is perfect for her. A study that goes through the book Habakkuk, verse by verse. In the beginning of this book, Habakkuk says to God, “How long, oh Lord, must I call for help? But you do not listen! Violence is everywhere! I cry, but you do not come to save” (Habakkuk 1:2, New Living Translation). By the end of the chapter Habakkuk is encouraged and says, “Yet, I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my Strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights” (Habakkuk 3:18-19, NLT). This study shows us how to trust in God even when we are anxious and struggling to see how our circumstances can work out for good.
Journal
Writing things down can help us to process things we otherwise might be not able to by only thinking about them. This pack of journals is perfect for busy women. Use one for church notes, another for reflections and another one for goals. I love what Paul writes in his letter to the Colossians, “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:1-3, New International Version). We can set our minds on things above by putting into perspective the things we are going through, and we can do this by journaling and writing about all that is going on in our lives.
